Yugen Wang (Simon)

Wang Yugen, also known as Siru, and under the pseudonyms Zhenglang and Jiangnan Yugen, graduated from the Advanced Research Program at Tsinghua University’s Academy of Fine Arts. He holds a Master's degree in Art from Renmin University of China and an MBA from the United States, and he is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Aesthetics at Xi’an Jiaotong University. From an early age, he displayed remarkable artistic talent, and in 2000, he formally apprenticed under Professor Yao Zhihua from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, where he systematically studied figure, flower-and-bird, and landscape painting. His art style is both unique and diverse, preserving the essence of traditional Chinese painting while incorporating modern artistic elements. His representative works include *Mount Liang*, *Thousand Peaks in Emerald Smoke*, *Mount Fuji Under Cherry Blossoms*, *Prosperity of the Dragon*, *Morning at Suzhou*, and *Free Light of the East China Sea*. Mr. Wang has been honored with titles such as “Outstanding World Art Master 2008,” “Renowned Contemporary Chinese Painter and Calligrapher 2013,” and “Top Ten Chinese Art Masters,” and he won first prize at the 19th World Art Competition in 2014. With an international perspective and influence, he actively promotes the development of world art, advocates for the idea that art transcends borders, and expresses a vision for world peace. He currently serves as the President of the World Artists Association and Chairman of the American Artists Committee.
